Anxiety over appearance doesn’t disappear

New research by Professor Nichola Rumsey, co-director of the West of England’s centre for appearance research, “confirms that appearance-related anxieties do not dissipate as the years pass.”  She goes on to say that “the psychological impact of these anxieties, [which] GPs are not trained to deal with, can have a significant influence on overall wellbeing.”  All the more reason to push for a change in the way society approaches and thinks about aging.  Her full interview with The Guardian is available here.
