By 2020, women in their 60s will be as likely as men to be in paid work

A recent report, The Changing Face of Retirement, by the Institute for Fiscal Studies has found that by the early 2020s, life is likely to be very different for women. They are less likely to be without companionship for as many years as husbands will be living longer, the women themselves will be ageing more healthfully, and in terms of work, women in their 60s will be as likely as men of the same age to be in paid work.
