Government acknowledges societal contributions of older people

In a recent speech, Work and Pensions Secretary Iain Duncan Smith said that older people should no longer be seen as a burden on society; rather, they should be appreciated for the experience they have to offer and recognised for their contributions, most of which are so great that without them, society would “simply collapse.”  More on his speech is available from The Daily Telegraph.
