As part of the growing international trend considering measurements of well-being essential additions to economic ones of national growth and development, the Office for National Statistics has recently published the results of its first subjective well-being survey results. Four questions were asked, including â€śOverall, how satisfied are you with your life nowadays?â€ť and â€śOverall, how happy did you feel yesterday?â€ť The majority of respondents rated their life satisfaction as medium or high. 49.8 per cent said their life satisfaction was 7-8, with 0 being not at all and 10 being completely. 26.1 per cent rated their life satisfaction as 9-10.
