Technology could improve health by decreasing loneliness

Professor of psychology and director of the Social Relationships Research Workgroup at Wichita State University, Louis Medvene, is examining the role computer use may have in improving older peoples’ health.  “I think it has the potential to reduce isolation and loneliness,” said Medvene.  Increased levels of social interaction have been shown to improve physical and mental health throughout the ageing process.
