Government warns that care cost cap may be untenable

Following the earlier recommendation that a cap of £35,000 for care in later life should be introduced, the Government has warned in a new report that the funds may not be available.  The Department of Health, Department for Work and Pensions and the Department for Communities and Local Government said that the Government is “unable to commit” to the cap.  A full article is available from the Daily Telegraph here.
