Virtual reality maze could detect Alzheimer’s decades before onset

Researchers, led by Lukas Kunz of the German Centre for Neurodegenerative Diseases in Bonn, have shown that individuals with a high genetic risk of Alzheimer’s completed a virtual reality spatial navigation maze in a noticeably different way than those without the risk. The findings could lead towards huge improvements in early diagnosis and continued research into the disease. Read the BBC article here.
